Roles and Responsibilities
- Remotely collaborate with a globally spread team.
- Create clean web service APIs that handle both CLI and web frontend clients in Python (and optionally Golang).
- Design and implement new features and enhancements from concept to production, including continuous operations at scale.
- Review the code and technical designs created by other engineers.
- Discuss ideas and collaborate to develop effective solutions.
- Work remotely with 2 to 4 weeks of global travel for internal and external activities.
Qualification and Skills
- You have exhibited professional competency in Python-based public APIs and web apps.
- You have a broad technical background but prefer backend code and infrastructure.
- You are familiar with relational and non-relational databases, and you can construct and adjust queries to access them efficiently.
- You’re comfortable with Ubuntu as a development and deployment platform.
- You have exhibited exceptional academic success in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field.
- You enjoy technology and working with a varied group of skilled individuals.
- You are inquisitive, adaptable, communicative, and accountable.
- You appreciate soft skills and are enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, thoughtful, and self-motivated.
