IT hiring 2025 freshers jobs : According to a survey, hiring activity increased by 11% in May compared to the same month last year, mostly due to a notable increase in hiring in the IT-software industry.
In comparison to May 2018, when it was 2,106, the Naukri JobSpeak Index for May 2019 was 2,346, representing an 11% increase.
In May, the JobSpeak index grew 11% year over year, with the majority of cities and industries seeing a positive trend. We can see from the pattern over the past six months that recruiting is still increasing in a favorable way,” stated Sumeet Singh, chief marketing officer of InfoEdge India.
In addition to IT software, business process outsourcing (BPO) (11%), education (11%), IT hardware (11%), construction & engineering (1%), and fast-moving consumer goods (4%), all shown a robust increasing trend in recruitment activity.

However, there was little to no movement in the recruiting activity within BFSI (banking, financial services, and insurance). Hiring in the pharmaceutical and automotive ancillary sectors fell by 6% and 16%, respectively.
There was a 13% increase in demand for entry-level candidates with 0–3 years of experience.
Hiring for mid-level management positions with 8–12 years of experience increased by 8%, while hiring for mid-level executives with 4–7 years of experience increased by 14%.
Conversely, hiring for leadership positions requiring more than 16 years of experience and senior management positions requiring 13–16 years of experience stayed unchanged.
All major cities saw an increase in the demand for talent. Recruitment activity increased positively in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Pune by 20%, 19%, and 10%, respectively.
