As i have only worked in TCS till now, I think i wouldn’t be right person to answer this question. As you want me to pick up better company between TCS and Capgemini.
However i can tell you , how working in TCS is.
If you are a fresher and joining Tcs there will be perks and cons of it.
Let’s discuss cons first,
As TCS is service based company and they have many employees. You might not get to work on completely technical project. Your growth would be slow.
According to me perks can be as follows.
There is job security. While many companies are laying off people.Tcs has chosen to keep all their emoloyees and infact planing to hire more. Also what might you work on dependent upon the ILP training in most of the cases..if you were to get trained in good technology and to get good opportunity to work on such project. You will learn alot.
Also TCS does focus on training their employees on new technologies and improve their skill set . You might get one of such opportunities. As for me I got to learn one foreign language and certification for it as well. And it will definately help me in future.
As per as Capgemini is considered , Please consult with someone who has worked there as a fresher .
In my overall opinion TCS is good organization to work with.

If they use the old “I have to know what you need before we can continue” line, ask them what the position’s expected salary range is. If they refuse to tell you this, YOU DO NOT WANT THE JOB.
