It seems unlikely that in the near future, ChatGPT will take the role of full stack developers. While ChatGPT is an AI tool, it lacks the critical thinking, problem-solving, and domain expertise necessary to create software from the ground up. It also cannot take the role of critical programming skills like decision-making.
Nonetheless, ChatGPT can be included into the workflow of a full stack developer to increase efficiency, accuracy, and productivity. For instance, it can finish programming, assist with repetitive chores, and offer insights from data analysis. Full stack developers might strive to be specific when giving instructions and using the right syntax to get the best results. They should also examine and play with the code that ChatGPT generates because it’s a rapidly developing tool.
