Both TCS and Capgemini are well-known companies in the IT services sector, and they each have unique advantages. As a member of the Tata Group, TCS is renowned for its dependability, substantial clientele, and solid presence in India. It frequently provides an organised work atmosphere with an emphasis on long-term connections. Although TCS offers a strong foundation, career advancement may occur more slowly than at other IT behemoths.
Conversely, Capgemini is known for its robust presence in Europe, emphasis on digital transformation, and more vibrant corporate culture. Employees at the organisation are frequently exposed to a greater variety of projects and technologies. Although this may result in a steeper learning curve and quicker job advancement, the workplace may also become more competitive and demanding. The optimal decision ultimately comes down to your own priorities, professional goals, and the particular role you’re thinking about.
As i have only worked in TCS till now, I think i wouldn’t be right person to answer this question. As you want me to pick up better company between TCS and Capgemini.
However i can tell you , how working in TCS is.
If you are a fresher and joining Tcs there will be perks and cons of it.
Let’s discuss cons first,
As TCS is service based company and they have many employees. You might not get to work on completely technical project. Your growth would be slow.
According to me perks can be as follows.
There is job security. While many companies are laying off people.Tcs has chosen to keep all their emoloyees and infact planing to hire more. Also what might you work on dependent upon the ILP training in most of the cases..if you were to get trained in good technology and to get good opportunity to work on such project. You will learn alot.
Also TCS does focus on training their employees on new technologies and improve their skill set . You might get one of such opportunities. As for me I got to learn one foreign language and certification for it as well. And it will definately help me in future.
As per as Capgemini is considered , Please consult with someone who has worked there as a fresher .
In my overall opinion TCS is good organization to work with.
