According to a survey conducted by a major job portal, employees in the IT industry typically stay with their employers for one to two years before looking for new opportunities. The study also revealed that workers are most likely to quit their jobs after six to seven years, though these statistics vary depending on the position held. For instance, software developers are more likely to leave their jobs after four years, whereas system administrators typically stay with their companies for seven years. Promotions also have an impact on how long employees stay with their employers. The same study revealed that 36% of workers who received a promotion stayed with their company for at least one extra year.
