I joined a company on March 20, 2022. I had a two-year bond. After a year I want to resign my job because of to a personal problem. So I spoke directly to the management and explained what had happened. He organized a conversation with project HR, who asked me to stay in CG itself. I did not accept the request.

I submitted the resignation form through the Company portal. After serving a three-month notice period, I am leaving company. I was concerned about what would happen if CG requested the bond amount of 2,00,000 rupees. So I chatted with someone with three years of experience.

He just said, “Don’t be afraid of anything nobody has the right to question you about the bond, it is not legal in India.” If you are unable to work, that is perfectly OK. Even if they ask for the bond money, inform them that you cannot pay it. The major reason they are asking you to sign the bond is because they are providing you with training worth one lakh for three months. I felt confident after that. To my amazement, no one asked me about the bond amount during the notice period. I was glad to be released.
