Yes, there will probably be a need for software engineers in the future given the anticipated increase in demand for qualified software engineers. With the emergence of new technologies like blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), and cloud services in recent decades, the field of software engineering has grown.
Software developers with specific expertise in areas like cloud-native apps, security and privacy, embedded and edge software, are in high demand as a result of these technologies.
Some claim that since AI cannot fully mimic human comprehension, creativity, and adaptability, software developers will not be replaced by AI. Others, however, assert that AI may threaten to replace generalist software engineering positions. It is anticipated that software developers with strong proficiency in AI-related subjects like arithmetic, statistics, and machine learning will be in great demand.
