Your employer may not have access to the entirety of your employment history through the information on your UAN. Although your UAN connects your several PF accounts, it does not display information about previous employers or the length of your employment there.
Nonetheless, there are ways for potential employers to learn more about your job history. Your EPF passbook, which contains information on your past contributions from several employers, may be requested by them. Furthermore, certain data that may disclose previous employment can be accessed by background verification firms through the UAN site with your permission. Thus, even while UAN may not be completely clear about your past, it might be a useful first step in obtaining additional data.
Only portion of the answer is provided. Your employer can view some information about your current job status with them through your UAN (Universal Account Number), but they cannot view your entire employment history. This is an explanation:
Employer Viewable
Your UAN verifies that you are the owner of an EPF account.
Your KYC Information, if applicable: This could contain your PAN number, date of birth, father’s name, and your name.
Your Place of Employment: They are able to see when you joined their organization and whether you are currently employed by them.
