Employees may be fired by human resources (HR), but this normally happens only after a manager or supervisor has made a decision. HR is responsible for organizing the procedure, making ensuring the company complies with regulations and policies, and informing departing employees of their rights and perks. If an employee is dismissed because HR doesn’t like them, it’s probably because their manager didn’t either. HR can’t make a manager fire an employee.
The firm president or CEO has the authority to fire people through HR, but that authority can be withdrawn. This implies that HR can always make an appeal to a higher authority and that HR only has the last word when the CEO gives it.
